and most active non-profit paddlesport organization. The association is
the nation’s recognized leader in the fields of paddlesport instruction
and education.NACK members enjoy a substantial discount when joining
the ACA because of our PAC affiliation to the ACA. |

The ACA-Atlantic Division represents the ACA in the Southern New York
and Northern New Jersey. They manage the ACA camp facilities at Lake
Sebago near Harriman, NY and publish the Newsletter: Canoesport.

Sebago Canoe Club |

Sebago, founded in 1933, is one of the oldest canoe clubs in the
Northeast. Located in Paerdegat Basin Park in Brooklyn, New York, the
club is a short paddle from the 16,000 acre expanse of Jamaica Bay,
part of Gateway National Recreational Area, a famous wildlife refuge.

The Downtown Boathouse of New York City is an all-volunteer
organization dedicated to providing access to the Hudson River for
everyone with the following free programs: public kayaking, trips on
the harbor, classes, and a youth sailing program. They also make their
facilities available to the general public for the launching of small
hand powered boats. Downtown Boathouse has kindly provided a listing

The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics is a national non-profit
organization dedicated to promoting and inspiring responsible outdoor
recreation through education, research and partnerships. Leave No Trace
builds awareness, appreciation and respect for our wildlands.ACA and
NACK espouse the goals and principles of "Leave no trace". |

The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation located within
the Atlantis Marine World aquarium is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and
release of seals, sea turtles, whales, dolphins, and porpoises. The RFMRP is the only
organization authorized by New York State to carry on this important work in conserving
the marine environment. NACK is a proud supporter of the Riverhead Foundation. |

The National Safe Boating Council, Inc. was organized in
September 1958. The NSBC presently has a membership of over 325 U.S.
and Canadian organizations, all with an interest in boating safety and
education. The mission of the NSBC is to reduce accidents and enhance
the boating experience through support of national campaigns, education,
literature and research.NACK is proud to be a registered member of

NECKRA is a volunteer organization dedicated to advancing the sport

The US Canoe Association was formed in 1968 as a non-profit,
educational group to encourage the growth of recreational and
competitive paddling. USCA holds annual National Competitons for
Aluminum Canoes, and for Marathon Canoes/Kayaks. |

The U.S. Coast Guard Office of Boating Safety is dedicated
to reducing loss of life, injuries, and property damage that occur on
U.S. waterways by improving the knowledge, skills, and abilities of
recreational boaters. Its affiliate, the National Boating Safety
Advisory Council (NBSAC) is consulted in prescribing Federal regulations,
and other major boating safety matters. The Council consists of 21
members including the American Canoe Association. |
