Field Notes by Sandy Noyes: This is the first of a series of reports by our travelling member: Sandy Noyes. Here he details his exploration of Amagansett Bay on Long Island's east end on 4/24/08. Sandy is a professional photographer and and accomplished writer and speaker. He sets the bar at a nice level for other field trippers.

Chincoteague 4-08

Field Notes by Sandy Noyes: Sandy's second submission provides a nice description of his adventures in the National Wildlife Refuge around Virginia's Chincoteague Island. No shots of wild ponies, but a nice travelogue of the area, directions to some great put-ins and pointers for the first time visitor. Run off a copy if you are planning a trip to the area.

			at Cape Porpoise, ME
Cape Porpoise 6-08

Field Notes by Sandy Noyes: Sandy's third submission takes us to Cape Porpoise, in southern Maine. This area is just north of the heavily touristed Kennebunkport area. Here we we can gain a true appreciation for timing the tide cycle. Sandy's article provides a nice travelogue to this quaint paddling location.

This award recognizes a bold experiment in club development that espouses many of the core values of the ACA. The award was presented by Sam Fowlkes, Chair of the Safety Education and Instruction Council and a copy of Sam's dedication is attached. Thanks to all who made this recognition possible!
